Default Fister for the turbo

I dropped off my 08 tt to FD Motorsports yesterday for Darin to test out his exhaust. I have his Fister mufflers on my 993 and love the sound. I'm looking forward to hearing his 997 tt muffler in person. I want a better sound without changing the cat's as most of the exhaust systems available. I didn't want to risk failing a visual inspection on my next smog. Go to love CA.

I'm so glad I live in Florida...we have no vehicle inspections at all. There are statutes on the book that says we have to run cats but it is never enforced. Hope you like your new exhaust symphony.

My friend is a Porsche master mechanic and told me that I would have to get my car smoked at a gas station to pass visual inspection as they wouldn't even know where the motor was located on a Porsche.

Love the sound of the Fister D exhaust mod. I wasn't aware that they had one for the 997.1 TT. That's some good news.

News to me too - didn't know Darin had configured a 997TT muffler. I've had his cans on both my 993 4S (sounded fantastic) and my past 991S cab (with PSE and it sounded fantastic). Not sure about any type of muffler on the TT however. Seems that between the turbos and the cats, the exhaust note is already muted before it passes through any mufflers. I stripped the mufflers and added the 200 cell cats and an X-pipe on the TT and the exhaust note is brutal when on it, and muted when putting around town. Could not imagine adding mufflers on top of the turbos and cats. Interested to hear your analysis on Darin's cans however.

I got to listen to his 964 exhaust while I was at his shop. It was very sporty sounding. Different from the regular primary or secondary muffler deletes. I've had both on my 964 and settled on the secondary muffler delete after talking to Steve Weiner at Rennsportsystems. I may be sending him more work!

I'll post pic's and sound bytes when it is all done. Darin is going to install H&R springs and RSS spacers while the car is there.

Tubi “RACE” Exhaust System...I have a lead on one for you. It’s actually mine and friend bought, never installed it and he has it back up for sale. ; ]

The car sits perfectly with the H&R springs and RSS spacers. The Fister muffler will going on very soon.

I’m sure the Fister will sound good, but FVD and Ruf also make a modified oem. I have the former on my car now 10-15% louder than stock no drone, looks stock. fwiw
