Default Tow Hook Usage?

I am planning to purchase a front tow hook. Leaning towards the Rennline...I know it's not exactly rocket science but thought I would see what others' experience might be with tow hooks in case I am overlooking anything. EDIT: Never mind, just read details of the Rennline, it has a rubber backside to protect the bumper, that is the main thing I was wondering about...looks like a good product. I just bought it on amazon...saved ~$16.

I use it on my car to get in and out of the trailer with a winch. I could probably just use the factory part but what the heck, this looks great!!

I use mine on track days. Then I lost the bumper plug that covers the hole so now it lives there 24x7

You can get a replacement (painted) from bumperplugs, or I believe Porsce sells it (may be unpainted, though..)

To be honest one reason I bought it is because I think it looks cool but with mine being lowered and with the aerokit spoiler and given she will be a big turbo build when I get her back, I figure at some point it will need to get towed and I was hoping a tow hook would help alleviate damage. But it does look badass I think.

I have the Aero front and it is Built by Champion Motorsports. These cars are no issue. I see more Lamboghinis and Ferraris on flatbeds in Houston than Porsche.

Glad to hear that. I will be very pleased if I never use the Tow Hook...hopefully it will just hang there and look cool, but if I need a tow or need to winch it I'll have it. BTW, I spent a year in Houston on a temp contracting job when I was a puppy just out Engineering College with my undergrad degree...Maybe the best year of my life. Had a blast, money was great, food was fantastic and the Texas girls, Oh My, they were very cute and very sweet.
