Default What is this tube???

I went to do some cleaning on my engine compartment on my 997.2TT when I noticed this tube is broken. Any ideas what it is for? Also any ideas what this tube material is called? Thank in advance for your replies.

I will go out and look on mine. I do not remember a tube of that color.

Here is another photo of where it connects to.
I wonder if it may be a vacuum hose?

Mine plugs into the side of the Y Pipe. I had to look to find it. It is a harder line and not that flexible. It appears to be a vacuum line I took picks to see if I could blow up a part number but there was not one. It appears on your pick there is a part number but I cannot make it out and that would assist as well.

I would agree, one of the rigid vacuum hoses...here's a Porsche replacement part I found on Pelican parts.

Default Vacuum Hose

Not sure if this is item #2 (and other bits) from this parts drawing, the lower connection looks similar.

Based on fittings that looks like it. Doing a search it is a $25ish part.

Howdy...would you mind me inquiring what your source is for the above parts list and schematics? I've been hoping there is a holy grail of parts list with schematics somewhere besides the Porsche parts counter.

Default Suncoast Parts - PDF

I use the one that Suncoast Parts put on Google drive (but there are many other sources of the Porsche PDF documents online found by searching), this is for Parts only (they have other model parts catalogs as well). Not sure about wiring schematics/diagrams but I've seen sections posted in another forum (RennTech?).

Porsche Website direct version (seems older?): https://www.porsche.com/all/media/pd...SA_KATALOG.pdf

Rodeo, you will want the PET for the .1 turbo, the one linked above is for the .2.

It was a bit intimidating at first, but once you understand how to read the PET it is really easy to find what you need.. The various parts diagrams on Suncoast, SOnnen, etc. are not that great IMO.

So now I use the PET to find the part number myself and then order directly from Sonnen (or whomever). Works well.

It does take a bit to get used to all the nuances and abbreviations in the PET, but there is a legend and other notes to help you..

Regarding the hose above, on a similar vacuum hose on the .1 (from plenum to diverter valves) I believe it's a standard hose part number and you order the length you want.. At least thats what I did before.
