Please talk to Kevin at UMW....his tune is "off the hook"......anyone who has a 997TT needs him !!!
I have had a 996TT and now my 2009 997TT....it even drives better at " normal Orange County/LA Traffic".....

Do the GT2 and GT2RS share the same ICs?

And they really worth! I've installed on my 997.1 turbo, and de IAT is now at least 20º C ( 68º F ) lower compared to the OEM Intercoolers. If you don't plan to do a turbo upgrade, that is the way to go.

I think the 997.1 GT2 intercooler are different (inferior) compared to the 997.2 / GT2RS intercoolers.

Don't these intercoolers still have the plastic end caps that have know to be an issue ?

Why not go with better aftermarkets intercoolers, I have a set of BY-Designs and they greatly helped with the addition of other mods also in order to run E-85.

Don't mean to hijack the thread
There is a set of GT2 IC's im considering to purchase with part numbers 997.110.640.00 and 997.110.639.00. Those seem to be the old part numbers as there is a new part number for left and right ending with .70 instead of .00. Did anything change with the parts or Porsche just updated the numbers?
Tnx Art

After a little research those part numbers are stock 997.1 IC’s. They are listed in the parts section as GT2 IC’s.

I pm’ed him about it, this could be an honest mistake or someone trying to off load Parts that are not what he says are.

^ Agree, although the PET I have doesn't list a separate part number for the GT2, which is weird.. It implies that the intercoolers for the GT2 are the same as the 997.1TT. From the data I can see, it looks like skyak is correct.

In the pics, they def look like stock 997.1TT coolers as they only have 12 rows of cooling fins, the GT2RS coolers I have have 15 rows of cooling fins..

So it looks like the RL classified add is correct in that they could have come off of a .1 GT2, but would be no different than a stock .1 997TT.

Interesting, learn new stuff every day..
