Dog bed for the Cabriolet
I took the my two Jack Russells for a ride a few weeks ago and they were struggling in the back on the folded seats. There was a big gap in the front between the front seats and the gap in the middel. I did a pretty extensive online search and discovered that the options were few and far between. I decided to build my own based on a design I saw in Austria (the shop never did get back to me with info).
Between Lowes, Walmart and Hobby Lobby, we were able to build a nice platform. I used a 3/8" particle board as the base, with 1" foam for the mattress. I found that yoga blocks provide just the right support for the front ledge of the folded seat backs (~9").
We're in the final stages of sewing the bed up (literally sewing).
Dogs seem to like it so going for a weekend ride in the Cab should be a lot easier now.

Porsche bud of mine gets his 2 Westies to hop in the back. They go straight for the rear passenger footwell. Lowest CG point of the car, least rocking and rolling. Smart.

Revell, my Jacks are pretty well trained and well exercised. They listen to me mostly as long as there are no squirrels about. It's taken a lot of years of working with them, but they know who's leader of their pack. It pisses my wife off that they follow me around everywhere...
