Michelin Tires for Turbo
I am getting a new set of rims for the .1 TT and looking at some Michelin options.
I have heard good reviews about Mich 4S but Michelin has Pilot Sport A/S 3+ZP which are runflats. I am not bothered too much about the stiffness of runflats as I would rather have some peace of mind than having a softer ride.
I was again in a catastophic tire event and its good I was able to drive back home with some pressure left on the rear tire but a runflat will help atleast relieve some anxiety about driving without a spare on long trips.
Anybody had experience with these tires.

I would go for PS4S and a plug kit over PS3 run flats.

I think you answered your own question...it seems you really want run flats. Everyone has different circumstances, for me in Cocoa Beach where I mostly just putt around locally with the occasional trip to Orlando I want soft summer tires...personally I think run flats are the devil's spawn.

The Pilot Sport A/S 3+ZP is an all season tire. Unless you plan on using your car in the snow, I would never put all season tires on this car. They simply don't have enough grip for cornering and launching. Get a proper summer time. I'd go for the Pilot Sport 4S or PS2

I've been looking too - I'm probably going with the 4S. FYI - Costco has $70 off plus free install (well $0.04 install) on Michelin - however I'm hesitant letting Costco install tires on this car. I used them for the wife's grocery-getter and they did a fine job. They actually fill with nitrogen & torque the rims. But.....I don't know..... I guess a + with going with Costco is that if they screw up your rims they're probably good for a replacement without much hassle.

Come to think of it, im putting it on my show rim BBS LM, ill just go with the 4S or PS2.
But on my daily, ill try the michelin runflats.
My 5 series needs new sets so I will try it here.

I agree with 4S or PS2. I wouldn't recommend run flat and neither would I suggest the all season.
When I do drive in winter I go with a high load rated snow tire, but i haven't done that in this car. That's for the Audis.

+^All of the above. Run flats are a terrible tire - had 'em, would never repeat. I have the 4S now (~1500 miles) and the new compound is a dream compared to the legacy Michelin's. I too, like "nzskater" indicates, carry insurance and in my case a can of fix-a-flat in all my cars and trucks. Some will say the fluid can permeate the inside of your rim, but I have only used the elixir to get me to the tire shop where the tire can be removed, cleaned up, patched and plugged. Def no run flats, a truly horrible, bone jarring ride.

Get the 4s tires from Tire Rack- Good prices plus since they are going on a Porsche the road hazard warranty is a full tire replacement even with a small puncture that is repairable. I have done this 2 times with tires from Tire rack.

+ 1 for the 4s
I just bought a set of the 4s from discount tire direct, paid $1034 to my door and after all the rebates. As talked about above, the runflats are just awful when it comes to ride quality I agree that the 4s are as good as everyone is saying.
