Talking little car story with hp/tq numbers!

So the end of September will mark two years of owning my car and I have loved every second. Best all around car IMO. When I found the car I wanted the dealership informed me that the car had performance upgrades which was fine with me. I didnt have a PPI done on the car but I did ask them to do a couple thing for me. Being a shop owner i just asked them to take pictures of everything under the car/brake pad life/tires etc....they took videos of start up cold and hot/drive the car everything. They provided service records. Is this a hundred percent way of checking a car no but I was going to take a chance.

Fast forward the car shows up. Its everything they said it was and more. My first thought was holy s**t this thing is fast. I get the car back to my shop do an oil change and just check it over. Needed rear tires front axle boots both I knew. No big deal.
What I came to find out is the car has (which the dealer never told me) ported turbos, short throw shifter/upgraded intercooler/fender intake/sachs 2.5 clutch/upgraded brakes/brand new set of HRE's/gt3 throttle/H&R lowering springs/maf-less tune/catless exhaust
So at this point im over the top like WTF! not mad just like ok this is awesome(im sure some would be pissed). I drive the car for a little over a year then this past winter I pull my engine to have the cams pinned and coolant pipes welded.
This is when more surprises show up. When I remove the intake manifolds I see the heads are ported....then I get the short block to the shop thats going to pin and weld...they tell me I have upgraded connecting rods and cams?!?!?!?

So now the power guy I am is like ok lets get this thing going. When they open the engine up they find a couple things that needed to be addressed....one broken inner valve spring, broken timing chain guide which I thought cause I had a chain noise on start up sometimes and here is the kicker a shop rag was wrapped around my oil pump shaft most likely from whoever did the work in the first place lol. When it was apart they studded the block, machined the cylinders for metal o rings (hold more boost) upgrade head gaskets.

All the upgrades can be found below. I havent had my car all summer between engine work and reinstalling along with other issues but yesterday I got the dyno numbers and its all worth it

Car made 605whp/600wtq on pump gas......723whp/727wtq on e85 im beyond excited to drive this car see what kind of a monster it is!!!

I'd be pissed. I wouldn't want all that engine work done. I prefer bolt-on mods that are completely reversible for resale value.

Yeah if resale value is your thing then modding a car is a waste of money anyway.

Nice score. Unlike what seems to be a bunch of 911 owners, I keep my cars forever. 335K on a Coupe Quattro, 280K on UrS6, 180K on a V10 S6, all of which were mine at mile 0 and except for the Coupe are still in the stable.

I would never be able to afford a brand new 997 TT, so I had to wait a while for everything to align before making the jump, but I intend to be the last owner of this 911.

To have found one with a ton of options I would have done myself is awesome. I lucked out with some neat items, only a few of which I knew the details on, but no HP items. You really hit the jackpot, although that rag deal is quite the shocker!

Car looks amazing...if those are HRE P101's I believe those are $2,400+ a pop so that is over $10K in just wheels...605 W ponies on 93 that is beautiful, assuming 15% parasitic loss due to drivetrain, that's approx. 690 crank H.P. From pricing I've been looking at I would estimate your mods are at minimum $50K. I just bought mine last weekend, it is 100% OEM. I am planning headers, Europipe stage 2 and a tune (leaning towards cobb autosport)...I figure that will be good for about 520 crank H.P., which I believe is what the 2007 GT2 was, so that is fine for me. But it is tempting to go Champion intercoolers, IPD y pipe, IPD plenum and take it up to 650 H.P. I have no desire to chop my turbos so I won't consider going up to 700 or 750. But I tip my hat to your....that is a real find, I plan to keep all my OEM parts for resell so I personally wouldn't go your route, but that is a damn rare find.
