Question Side sills/skirts question

Have any of you replaced your side sills?
I'm looking to replace mine as one of the "flaps" before the rear wheel is damaged. In looking for parts I've started mulling around all options:

Option 1:
Go with GTS/GT2 parts. should be a direct fit, has a slight flared look, still not fully convinced it's better, anyone got pics to convince me?
Is there a part number that is just black (non primed)? I don't want to paint them (car is black and the standard "black satin" is fine for me)
Con: i'd have to replace both
~$400(primed)
$? (black satin, assuming ~400)

Option 2:
Straight replacement. I believe part number is : 9975043630001C (unsure if it's just 99750436301C or if the 00 is in there too, versus 9975043638001C for the GT2, otherwise the part numbers for both are the same)
~$200

Option 3:
techart, etc. need imagery, so consider this an invite for obligatory car pics if you care to share.
$?

Lastly, assuming the job is pretty easy. A bunch of screws, and clips. remove screws, pull part, replace part, re-use and replace screws. For those of you that have done so, is that accurate?

Have you found the GT2 skirts somewhere for $400/pair? I've considered upgrading but it's so subtle that it's hard to justify nearly $800.

Ha, no. the prices are cost-per. Part of my decision is in total cost since i could just fix the one side for 200 or so, or 'upgrade' both sides for 800 or more (not sure how much the techart/etc is, plus they all seem to be painted). I'm likely going the straight replacement route due to cost and not seeing any examples that make me drool (maybe someone has some good pics that say otherwise!)

Here's a few pictures of mine with the Techart side skirts. Really makes the car look more unique.

Looks good. IIRC you have the full techart package?
Those need to be painted correct? and effectively in doing so you're likely going to have to paint the front lip (which i tend to slowly file away on things).

My front splitter is the carbon fiber version of the Techart package and the rest is the full Techart deal, side skirts and rear diffuser. You will need to paint them but I also have my lower skirts protected with Xpel treatment which you would certainly want to get in order to protect from rock chips, etc.

understood. painting the front would be a money pit for me. looks like the GT2 sills are ~375/ea so still leaning heavily on just stock replace.

anyone have pics with GT2 (i think same as GTS) side sills?

local p dealer. looks like its the price that's coming up at other (NA based) dealers. price per each, no shipping, local pickup. shipping prices were not cheap in most cases.. still trying to get confirmation that's even the right part number though... does the GT2 and GTS use the same side sill, can anyone confirm part numbers (only PET i have is for TT)?

$348 each from Sonnen. But yeah, then ya gotta ship, so prob makes sense to pickup from local dealer if they can come close to that price. Everything I've seen seems to indicate it's the same part as the GTS sill.

I will be making my own set out of carbon fiber 2x2 twill. Waiting for my special roll of material. Will post pictures once I begin.

Here are the OEM GT2 sideskirts on a 997.2TTS. They're not obvious like the TechArt or some other Aftermarket ones, but they're flared enough to be noticeable to an enthusiast.

The front lip is a replica of the OEM aero kit via eBay. It's been on the car for 4 yrs now and has held up pretty well
