997 Turbo - Air Intake Housing Removal
Hi,
i'm new to these forums. I hope this is the way to start a new thread. I've been going crazy to figure out how to remove the entire air intake housing on my 997TT. I've search everywhere but all I find its 996TT videos or pics of the housing removal but the 997TT seems very different. I'm a DIY car guy myself and have been looking to remove this housing to take out a coolant hose that is leaking and replace it. The Y-pipe seems to be attached to the air intake housing and I don't know how to remove these hooks.
Any help with pics or video of any similar procedures where they remove the complete air intake housing?
i'm including some pics in case this helps to send me to the right path.
Thanks guys! A plea for help!

The Y-pipe has pins that fit into the grommets on the airbox.
I always take out the Y-pipe first, THEN remove the airbox. Depending on which hose you are looking to replace, you will want the Y-pipe out of the way anyway..

To remove the Y pipe, just undo the three clamps that seal each of the rubber hoses it attaches to, firmly pull it out of said hoses and lift it out.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try removing the Y-pipe first but still unsure how these pins will detach from the grommet of the air box. Loosening the clamps and simply pull this y-pipe out? I don't want to break the airbox. Thanks again.
