Beautiful ride! Mine had 35,000 miles on it when I picked it up a few years ago. I just went over 50k... these cars are amazing! Enjoy yours every chance you can get!

Just past the halfway point home. I can’t believe how much different it drives from a Carrera 2! What a machine!

Car was as good if not better then expected. Real cream puff.

In as much as I love NA porsches, and still a carrera owner(GTS), a 997 TT is a different level. And once youve owned a REAL porsche TT, you wont go back.

Congrats.

Congrats on the new ride and I'm glad you did your homework on the other car with the rebuilt title. I know that insurance companies are hesitant to cover a car of this caliber that has a rebuilt title, and when they do agree it's usually pricey. It looks like you're already enjoying the new (fabulous) car and the fun is just beginning!

I have a question guys, not sure if I should open a new thread or not. The last owner told me in his 5 years that he ran nothing but 94 octane, which in Canada is only available at one brand of station (but still pretty readily available). In the way home I was running low and had to put in 91. Now whenever it passes about 0.7 bar boost it hesitates and cuts the power a bit.

Has the adaptation set this car up for 94? Have any of you had this happen when switching down to 91 octane? The manual says its OK to do as long as you don't go below 90.

My plan is to drive it easy and put 94 in it at the next opportunity.

I run 91 on most my TT, only when I am in Dallas do I run 92 or more. Just drive easy and bring in for an early service so they can check it up.

Pulled the codes with my Durametric and I have a sticky boost actuator. I will get the special grease from Porsche and get it lubed up.

Edit: Put it on the lift and the actuator rod came off the ball on the passenger side turbo. Clicked it back on, that was an easy fix lol.
If it comes off again I will put a new rod on it.
