Default Power Window issues fault code 8026

Hi,

Both windows are acting weird since my battery went flat. The auto down up is inop on both sides, as is the auto close after shutting the doors to ensure watertight door seal.

I reset all codes with my durametric cable, but cannot get rid of code 8026 on both doors.

I also tried the reset procedure by closing both doors and holding the up botton, releasing, and then holding it for a 5 sec count.

Then I cleared all codes and it wont go away... Any ideas

TIA

TIA

My passenger side window acts a bit funky as well. Auto down is fine, auto up doesn't work, nor does holding it up manually. It just goes back down again. I connected with the original owner and he said it's always been quirky. But I don't have fault codes.

I recall reading something about a dealer having to reset the car after swapping a battery. Maybe this has something to do with it?

I'm long out of warranty, and haven't run a stock battery for years. Its gotta be programming related as both windows started doing it simultaneously

Try disconnect and reconnect battery both windows completely up or down.

Update:

I have tried all of the above:

-disconnecting battery for 10m
-disconnecting battery with windows down 1/2 way for 10m
-tried reset procedure (close windows with doors up). Then tap and hold button while window is up to confirm upmost position.
-cleared all codes with Durametric (multiple times)
-I've also made several prayers to the Porsche gods, and am considering a sayonce next.

I cannot clear code 8026 from either door.

help!

It has to be something to do with the ECU relearning, since they worked fine before the battery drain. You may have to pay a dealer to PIWIS on it, but don’t count on the fix being permanent, I just have a feeling.

Hi, what was the solution to this problem, as I have exactly the same and have done the same as you have tried but no joy.
