2 magazines cant be wrong!?!
I was able to enjoy the weekend and decided to do some magazine reading.
My attention was on the Total911 with a cover of a 996 gt3RS, 991.2 RS and my 7.2 RS. They were trying to compare the 3, what would be the all around RS. The reviewer choose the 3.8 7.2 RS.
Quote:
"......but its the Gen@ 997 GT3 RS that is the one I'd take home. Just comes down to a number of reasons: its fast enough and its modern, it has enough character to appeal to a broader spectrum of driving situations. Yes, the manual transmission plays its part in that, but its demonstrably not the clincher here."
Another publication for july GTPorsche caught my eye. With the comparison including the 2.7 RS to the 991.2 RS, 5 cars all in all, it would be tough for my lowly 7.2 RS to be the top all around pick among the modern RS. But it was again mentioned as a top all around RS next to maybe the benchmark 2.7 RS.
Quote:
" If I could take just one of these cars and spirit it away forever, I'd take a long hard look at the 997(2) before plumping for the 2.7 RS."
2 different reviewers choose the 997.2 RS.
Now that cant be coincidence.

I think you’re getting your forums mixed up, haha, as much as we all love GT3s here! Unless of course the real reveal is that they chose the 997 turbo over all of them.

Total911 did a comparison for the aircooled turbo, did not read it. Only interested to the watercooled 911 turbos. I dont want to start a heated debate about the water cooled but lets wait for the experts(?). Ill email them if they could do one for the modern turbos. I think its too early to know, wait for another 10 years and it would be clearer by a margin. Now, its all debatable.
