My Europipe stage 1 shipped yesterday, signed by Stef! Should arrive Tuesday. He gave me some additional advise since I will be doing the install myself.

looks great !
I am leaning more towards the IPE valved setup. I just want to contact them to find out if their system comes with the 200 cell cats for the $3800.00 USD or if there is a charge above for them

Does anyone know of a good source for 200 cell cats that can also fab up the plates for connecting them? I have a catless piece now that I do not want to use for a variety of reasons.

We're iPE's largest dealer in the world so I can help answer your question. For the 997.2 Turbo they are 100 cell sport cats. With your purchase of the exhaust either the sport cats or cat bypass are included (your choice).

Fabspeed's Sport Catalytic Converters for the Porsche 997.2 Turbo replaces the factory restrictive catalytic converter with the high performance HJS 200 cell sport cats. If you have an aftermarket cat bypass you and put these in the place of that pipe as well.

I should have noted I have a 997.1. That type (if there was something similar for the .1) would mate up to the turbos fine, I would have to chop the rear and fab up some sort of flange to bolt up to the rest of the exhaust - if you had one for a 997.1.

My other alternative is to get a set of cats and fab both flanges.

I am just trying to keep the custom work down to a minimum.

Try to find a Europipe for sale. You won’t that says everything to me. Again, the Rolex of Exhausts in every aspect.

There are a lot of good exhausts out there, the overall best is probably the europipe. Just bear in mind that the 997.2 uses the Siemens ecu which can compensate for reduced back pressure with sport cats, so you may need to add a tune. If it’s purely sound you’re after, try a set of the SW pipes, pretty cheap option. If I was putting a system on a .2 the SW pipes would be my choice.

ah okay,
Yes I will be ordering full bolts on right away. already ordered are; IPD plenum and Y pipe , Wagner intercoolers , silicone pipe kit, Forge diverter valves. I just was having a hard time deciding on the exhaust, as my wife will be driving the car often i wanted something with valves so i could shiut the car up for her but have it loud and snappy for myself. Thats the main reason i wanted something like FI or IPE. All this info is great though as I have learned a lot from you guys. I believe I will be doing a custom engine and PDK tune from Malone Tuning in Vancouver as he did a great job on my Audis
