Yes, our 3" XP can be too loud for some people, especially 1st time modders that do not fully understand the nature of an aftermarket exhaust and what they are getting into. Many just want "the big 3" one", when they probably would be happier with a 2.5", slighty quieter system. Our 3" X-Pipe system is reported back to have no drone to some people and very little drone, to most others. And the exhaust was re-designed several years ago to sit higher on the car, which is why you don't see it...

I can't say I think the Europipe is the "Best" because I don't have that much experience with other brands, BUT I will say I Absolutely LOVE the Europipe on my 997.2 Turbo S!!!
It is the PERFECT mix of sound (quiet but good in "normal" mode and Awesome turbo whistle, pop / crackle in "Sport / Sport Plus" mode) and performance!!
The build quality is Outstanding!

Here's my car on start up on a mid 70's day.

I'm dropping mine off this weekend for installation of the Europipe and a set of TechArt lowering springs. I am excited to hear the difference. I will have my guys snap a photo or two during the process.

Never heard anyone say anything bad about europipe.

Big Swole that was the best quality exhaust sound clip I have heard yet. The low frequencies really came through. Another week and I'll have my Europipe Stage 1. I asked Stef to sign his name on top of the heat shield, he said no problem - Ha!

When I put the Speedtech into sport mode, it is an absolute beast with some snap crackle and pops when you let off the gas. I'm sure you will get a ton of other opinions. I'm super happy with the upgrade. The car now sounds like a beast. Startup sounds amazing. The difference is night and day. FYI, I used the stock tips. I've heard it is slightly louder with the Speedtech tips but I wanted to keep the stock look.
+Ditto. I removed a system built by a manufacturer mentioned here and installed the SpeedTech 3.0 X-Pipe w 200 cel cats. Love it! Reasonably quiet just putting down the street then a gnarly, raspy exotic wail under throttle. Music to my ears. Fit and finish is perfect and the system didn't break the bank.
It may not be up for consideration here, but I'm a huge supporter of local shops, and if not local, then built here in America. SpeedTech like other manufacturers mentioned here are made in the USA. Others, are not.

I have the Sharkwerks muffler delete on my .2 and love it. You should definitely consider it.

After seeing and hearing mine, I agree. I'm sure others make great stuff, but it just seems the Europipe "Fits" the Turbo's in every sense of the word.

Does Europipe make a version that does not resemble the stock exhaust ports? In addition to sound, changing the look of the stock exhaust was a must have for me. I much prefer the quad circular tips over the stock tips.

I believe Akrapovic has a bumper exhaust pocket filler for some of their products. Not sure if fitment works on your system, or not.

I'm very happy with my system - It's the stock look that I do not prefer and couldn't wait to change out. Some of the options shown here retain the stock look.
