Other 997 TT Front bumper lip

I have 2 garages, one is flat the other steep.
The flat entry keeps the RS and the steep one keeps my gts and turbo. But my turbo keeps on rubbing, especially exiting.
Any other bumper lip i can use to cover the lower bumper?

My GTS goes in and out without issues.

I tried racing ramps still does not prevent rubbing.

Have you tried approaching at an extreme angle rather than straight on as you have pictured?

Here is a video of my driveway approach, I have since lowered the car about an inch and can usually get in and out without catching the front lip

Thats a flat entry.
Mine is steep.

Can you use other porsche lip? I just need an extra 1-1.5 inch to go out.

If i exit slanting, only 2 tires are touching the pavement.

I don't think that is a problem, it's AWD!

aftermarket options are only going to make it worse, if you need more clearance I think your only option is removing the plastic lip but that is going to screw with the aero on the car and I wouldn't do that.

They do make nose lift kits - they arent cheap but that seems like what you need.

When you exit slating back wards to the right, only the front right and rear left touches, they act like a pendulum and settles on the right lip.

Welp, nose lift then?

Many consider that plastic lip a wear item and just replace them every so often - if you drive the car it's going to take a beating one way or the other.

Im afraid i might damage my bumper if i do it everytime.
My only option that is cheap is to remove the lip everytime. I am not liking it.

I feel your pain - driveways can suck. My flat entry in the video is only after having a concrete company redo my driveway apron extending it 8 feet to make the approach flatter.

Reverse in?

MIKe30 06-12-2018 04:00 AM

Are you sure it’s the actual lip rubbing or can it be the mud flap type plastic extensions on the wheel liner on either side?

why not have have someone fix how steep it is?

Looking at the picture seems like if you had some concrete added and smoothed out would fix your problem

Thxbuff for ****s and giggles can you post a picture of your Beast? I searched far and wide for an Imola Red while I was still a student at the Naval Academy in my price range, never could find one
