I have a 2012 TTS, and man its confusing, I honestly gave up the other day. I need to be hands free here in Atlanta, do I need this conversion?

No, I had a 2011 tts, the factory BT works well, follow the instructions in the manual precisely. This is the best option for a 997.1 pcm2.

Yes, the Dension 500SBT is for PCM 2.1 (and other non Porsche vehicles), but once they moved to PCM 3.0 you are at the mercy of the Porsche systems.
