Same here - once I saw the Ariel photo I knew this was a scam.

That might be the legit car and the right VIN but if it sold for 70k on ebay and now is 70k - then there must be something wrong with it above and beyond the salvage title.

The car is cursed.

I'm guessing CPO may be the best option?
BTW: just picked up a 2001 996TT for $37K with 79,000 miles, fair deal most are in the 45-50 range. Used car lot in Sacramento.

On the PPI I did my own, have 99' 996 Cab (4 sale) and a 2011 958TT.
Car needs front CV boots, front top strut mounts and drivers side door latch.(done)
Just drained all the fluids and filters. now refinishing the calipers.

Really nice car. More than I want but the 'right colors'. Being a Mezger and last of the last - it probably will go up in value as long as you can keep it in good health. Somethings up with it being on market for 26 days - failed PPI ? Approach with caution.

I’ve seen that one on craigslist for 4+ months. It’s updated every day so its at the top of everyone’s search. I’m not sure if anything is wrong with the car, maybe the high miles make it difficult to sell.

Not to concerned with the mileage, not willing to pay over average NADA value that was my offer. This shouldn't be priced at retail. I must have offended him?
My patience served well on the 996TT however have not followed the 997TT market for long. Correct me if i'm off base with pricing seem to >20% over NADA.

another one I'm looking at.

Have access to Manhiem NO deals there! Exception is on the Tip models for ~$50k
Autotempest seems to work well any other suggestions?

I love driving my 958.1TT I miss a manual 6 speed.
