Default New 997.1TT

Just picked up a new to me 997.1TT. In the mail is a new set of HRE FF01s and Michelin 4s.
Always wanted one and finally decided to pull the trigger. Now only if it would stop snowing so I can take her out!

Welcome and beautiful machine!! I just picked up my new to me 2009 turbo cab 1 week ago. I know the feeling with the snow. Where are you located? What are the details on the car? Year? Mileage?

Congrats! Looks great and what a way to start spring.

Do you plan to keep your wheels? If your spring roads are like ours (metro Detroit) you may want to wait a bit to bolt on your HREs. It's a nightmare around here. Even on the 'good' roads it's a mess.

Enjoy!

I will probably keep my OEM set. Roads are not "terrible" but def need to pay attention. Just sucks that they are still salting the roads due to all this f'd up weather.

Stop beating yourselves up about owning a tip guys. A 911 Turbo is just that, a 911 Turbo.
Who cares what the trans is.
Awesome cars either way.

True, nothing about any 997tt to feel anything but great about. There are positive aspects to the tip on what is arguably a GT car.

How is the ride on the Eibachs? That lowering looks just perfect and makes mine look like the Paris Dakar version.

IMO, It rides actually pretty good for just springs (sport mode on or off). Again I do not have a comparison point on how a stock one rides. I can say that it feels much better than my buddy's lowered F80 M3 on KWs.

Nice car and welcome! Where in Chicagoland? I might see you around. Almost time for tires here, too, and debating just going with the 4S or getting new wheels to go wider with the tires as well. Decisions...
