Default Just Bought a 997.1TT

Hey guys,

New to Rennlist, so here's my first post. I'm out in Los Angeles and just bought an '07 997.1 Turbo in Speed Yellow with 2,845 miles! I am now the second owner, the previous owner lived in Hawaii, barely drove the car and kept it garaged since he bought it. Then brought it out to LA and listed it for sale.

Specs:
-Coupe
-Speed Yellow
-Obviously a manual
-Black interior w/ yellow seatbelts
-Sport Chrono

Here is a link: http://www.chequeredflag.com/2007-Po...ldDetails.aspx

Picking it up this week. Just waiting for the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups to be fitted with new sensors and brake pads. I have an appoint with GMG Racing to take it in 2 weeks to fit a full Stainless Steel Sport Exhaust System, LMS (half cage) roll bar in satin black and a BMC high-performance air filter.

Default Did this car belong to Scott S. in Honolulu?

If so, I know the guy and the car. Scott serviced my 997TT and showed me his Speed Yellow manual under the cover at his shop.

Wow! That the lowest mile 997.1 TT I've seen. Beautiful car. What's the spec on your new exhaust? Is it primarily sound quality that drive the decision?

Thanks! Here's a link to the exhaust: https://shop.gmgracing.com/collectio...exhaust-system

Primarily for sound, but amazing handmade system by GMG and increases some performance, especially with the new filter. Also, gives me quad tips without needing to cut anything.

Yes, exactly as advertised in mint condition. Not a scratch or ding and barely any wear at all.

Awesome time-capsule 997.1TT... Really gorgeous.

While your throwing $ at it, maybe some nice BBS wheels? I personally never loved the stock 997 Turbo wheels.

Really cool - I love yellow and orange on Porsches. Look forward to seeing you and your car at a SoCal event sometime.

Holy cow! That is just unbelievable. You only did one thing wrong: You should have moved to Hawaii to be with the car! Just kidding, that thing is pristine. I would be all over coilovers and some other suspension bits once you get settled in.

Good luck with everything, and congratulations on a truly unique find!

I have the same thought - wanna drive the car around for a little then do these first set of mods (cage and exhaust), then down the road will mess around with wheels/suspension after I've had the car for awhile and have done a lot of digging on Rennlist with what setup I like best!
