Default Driveway Shenanigans and Coilovers

Coilovers are going on later this week, trying to figure out best approach to clear my driveway. I think this extreme angle is best. Hoping to lower the car an inch, think I can make it once it's lowered?

You might as well start looking for a new house now.

Just have your approach ground down. Any concrete place can do it for a few hundred dollars. Essentially they skim off the curb. Problem solved.

After it's smoothed down, going straight into the drive should be best. The angled approach appears to make it a bit worse.

This....my garage is under the house so the drive way goes down to the garage , This spring I am going to fix the bump at the end of the driveway so it does not hit anymore. Right now I have the black plastic piece which I do not care if it gets a little messed up. I have a new carbon fiber lip I am installing and rather it not get ripped off.

You’ll be fine. This looks like one of the better driveways. Could be a lot worse.

Sounds like my driveway... nothing a few strategically placed rubber mats can’t fix.

I experimented with a piece of 2x4 but it didn't help and I was real leery driving over the wood, what kind of mats are those and where did you buy them?

Soft flooring for children’s playgrounds.
For sale in most DIY stores.

The mats seems like it may help add a little clearance and I'm far more comfortable driving over some soft rubber than a hard 2x4! Thanks for the advice.

Yup, that's the exact approach angle. Remember that that is the same approach angle when leaving and best to back out when you do it.

Oh and order a whole bunch of them front "splitter" thingies.......... they are listed under consumables :-)

Good luck. I’m lowered on H&Rs and this car smears the front lip over everything. It’s worse than my previous champion in this regard, a C6 Z06. As already stated, consider it a consumable and move on, haha.

I'm fine with considering it a consumable - hey at least they are plastic.

Am I safe to assume it's designed in such a way that if you really catch it on something it's going to give way first and not take the entire bumper cover off?

Default Eco-Flex (or similar) rubber driveway ramps

I bought 5 of these rubber ramps (https://www.eco-flex.com/products/ez...nt=49210999174) to span the full width of my driveway and I don't drag anything getting on or off the street from my place.

I love how they show a pick up truck driving over them.

Yes. It’s very flexible. Never had an issue with it causing any problems with bumper alignment and my current one has a few really good gashes.
