Default Get Out and Drive!

For you owners who actually drive your cars in anger I thought I would give you a little motivation now that Spring is coming. My brother and I took the day off and headed up to the North GA mountains this morning for several hours of driving the twisties (the Suches loop specifically). Awesome day of driving. There are not too many cars with the all around skills of a 997 Turbo -- comfortable ride, awesome power, great handling (with the right mods). They are special cars. I should note that my brother's C5 did a hell of a job keeping up, those cars are a fantastic bang for the buck.

About to leave Dahlonega

Overlook on Hwy 60

I just got to home to visit the parents in Alpharetta with the Turbo S. If the weather were actually worth a crap I would head up there now.

Thanks for the Invite!!! lol

I've spent many many many years thrashing those roads up there on my sport bikes (now my sport touring bike when I have time) but looking forward to going up in my new to me 996TT.

Hit me up if / when you go back up. I have some weekdays off and every other weekend off.

BTW, if you've not taken Richard Russell scenic hwy from 129 over to Helen yet, GO SOON!! Great Road!

Its always cool when siblings share a passion or a hobby together. Bondjockey my brother and I almost have the same cars as you two except his is a C7. We always look for reasons to miss work and hit some canyons together.

Funny, my brother and I were just talking about that exact drive! We are fortunate to have some epic roads in north GA and western NC. We'll have to find a time to meet up!

My brother has a TA 2014 Viper in Alpharetta. Next time I come visit the folks, we will all have to go for a drive.

I dunno, driving it seems like a good way to get over revs, spin the camshaft and blow a coolant line. I'll pass.
