Aww it's a convertible. Man values on 997s seem to just hold steady or go up while 991 cars just continue to go down like they're a Mercedes.

They've got another similar one in Denver at $82k, I'm guessing low $80s is about where they should be.

Perhaps for a cab but not for a coupe. Actually, in 2011 there were more coupes produced/sold then cabs which makes the cab the "rarer" car.

The one in the OP is scant on details but it does mention a "soft top," so I think it's a cab.

I'm just confused by 4ocious's "Perhaps for a turbo but not for a coupe." post. The point is, CarMax seems to think TTS cabs should be around the $80k mark so the one in the OP doesn't seem all that ridiculous.

Sorry for the confusion it was a typo, I meant "cab" vs. "turbo". I think dyslexia and age are catching up with me.

However, it's been my experience with Carmax that they typically don't consider options or cab vs. coupe when they price a car. They go strictly by miles, calendar year (i.e., their cars are always a year older on January 1 regardless of when they were manufactured) and condition. Whereas TT and TTS coupes on the open market are priced at a premium and cabs are typically discounted. I've never quite understood that though because a cab costs approximately $10K or more when new. Anyway, both cabs currently on their website are great buys and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase either one if I was in the market.

Interior is "orange"? That will be interesting to see...

I think the 997.2 auto hurts their values. Still awesome cars and to someone above certainly driving 991 prices down as there is just nothing unique about them at this point.

Build sheet says terracotta, which is orange-ish but not like some flaming retina-searing GT3 color:

Not the car in the OP, just an example.

It's also a two tone interior as well.

I'm fine with the two tone terracotta, the wood accents just KILL it though, how does this happen??

It's like it was all spec'd out and then they were like "how can we make this ugly and horrible?" - "here let's spend $5k in wood accents, that should do it"
