2011 997.2 Question: Rain Sensor

Hello All ! Can i safely assume that the 997.2 uses an infrared system ? If so, is the transmitter and sensor part of the mirror, or is it somewhere else in the interior of the car ? Thank You !

On the 997.1 the rain sensor is on the mounting bracket of the rear view mirror on the windshield. I believe it shoud be the same on the 997.2.
