My first Porsche ever. I picked it up today and I cannot get rid of the grin. Its got 55k on the ODO, the carbon package and a bunch of techart goodies. The ONLY compromise I made with myself is it is a tiptronic car. I have driven manual all my life so this is a big change, BUT I just didn't have the budget for 70k+ for a 6spd. Combined with city traffic, I am ok with an auto for now. I've owned some fast cars in the past but the speed this thing is capable of is just ridiculous.

I unfortunately do not have much info as to what mods the previous owner has done aside from the wheels. I have service records and the car passed its PPI. It might have lowering springs on it... I have no idea... and it might be tuned, there are two blue lights which blink on the dash which are not part of the instrument cluster. I'm guessing they have something to do with some engine mod ...maybe? Lastly it sounds like it has aftermarket exhaust. Not 100% on that either, I'll be taking the car to MooreSpeed in Austin when I have more time to see if they can identify any other goodies.

Congrats! Great looking 997 TT.

The blue lights are are most likely a K40 radar detector.

Interesting I considered that it could be a radar detector as well... there are only so many things it can be .... so far every 997tt I have driven has had a radar detector of some sort in it. I have a whistler CR88 which is filtering signals heavily but seems to agree with the blue lights when they are going off. I wish I had more info from the previous owner on that. Makes me feel good then that the engine is still stock.

Congrats! The blue lights definitely are K40 radar detector lights. I had them in my prior 997S -- one blue light on each side of the instrument cluster. Car looks awesome.

Nice, congrats! The car does look lowered but a little hard to tell from the pic angle. Pretty easy to tell an aftermarket exhaust visually; if you post a pic the folks here would know in an instant.

Congrats! I agree, it's been two years and I'm still enjoying it like it was yesterday. Did the previous owner do something to the crest on the hood? Let's get some interior pics!

Yes the crest on the hood is the Techart one. I don't have the original Porsche crest/ badge. I will get some interior picks for you later today.

Link to a few quick interior shots. The lcd in the instrument cluster has the bad pixel issue and needs to be repaired, and the CF on the cup holder cover is separating. Other than that the interior is pretty well kept, no sticky *****/ dash.
