New to Rennlist - 997.2 Turbo
Hi, my name is Matt. I'm here to admit that I have a problem with cars...
I've actually had my 997 about a year and a half, and haven't done much to it except for a pair of GMG sway bars, and a set of Bridgestone RE71Rs. In fact, I haven't even put the front bar on yet. This is hands down the most capable all around, do everything well, car I've owned. I wasn't going to track it, but somehow ended up running Sonoma three days after buying it. I have a '65 Mustang I usually take out to track events, but took the Turbo out to an Optima Ultimate Street car event at Auto Club Speedway. Their weekend format is an autocross, road course day, and "speed stop," which is like a drag race, into a turn around and back through a short slalom into a stop box. The Turbo killed just about everything on the "speed stop," and let me say - launch control is an absolute riot!
I have a shop, and we mostly build hot rods, along with doing paint and bodywork on vintage and specialty interest cars, so I have a ton of ideas of things to tinker with and modify, but will probably be asking a lot of questions as I'd like to maintain a bit of an understated look, and as much daily driveability as possible!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to chatting about all things Porsche. Oh, and here's the Turbo, along with the Mustang I built.

Nice work Matt. I see you did a good deal of bodywork to that 'stang. Was that off a '65 body? I am sure the engine bay is impressive.
