I bought a great system from a R'ler and really like it, but the missus finds it too much after a drive tonight for a few hours. I actually agree sadly (but I never told her I did)
My question is this...I have a Tubi race that has no cats. Can I add a couple of cats to quieten the car down a bit?
Tubi tell me they can't supply pipes with cats which seemed odd, but that's what they said. So My thinking is find a decent specialist and weld some 200/300 cel cats in.
Would this work? Assuming they get the measurements 100% accurate so they fit my little mind says it should be OK?

If it can be done, what cats would I use, are they special, where would I buy them? Or will anything that will fit work?
Hopefully someone can advise me. If it can't be done I'll just sell this system and put the stock system back on and go back to too quiet.

Yes, it can be done. You will have to cut the straight pipe sections off from the Tubi exhaust and weld on a CAT for both sides. HJS CATS are considered one of the best there is out there. You can get these CATS from FVD or contact Sam from ByDesign (6speed member). He can actually help you out quite a bit.

I have the Tubi street with 200 cell cats and we really enjoy it. While cruising it is very mild with no drone. When on it it sounds menacing. Find a performance muffler shop that deals in high end vehicles and they can suggest and install cats.

Yeh that's what I'm thinking now. Sell it and buy a catted jobbie.
I have a feeling it will be sitting alongside my 360 Tubi and Turbo 3.6 systems, making it 3 garage ornaments hahaha
