New Clutch and LSD
Installed new clutch and lsd last month. Went with a RPS triple carbon clutch and Wavetrac LSD. I did not remove the hydraulic assist.
Amazed at the difference in putting power to the pavement. The combination of clamping action / lwfw / lsd has totally changed the car. Visceral is best way to describe. Puts a big **** eating grin on my face. Since buying the car in 2015 I thought this would be my final mod, and I think it is the happy place for me. Mod sequence on the car was DSC / Exhaust / PCCBs / ICs / Tune / Lithium Ion Battery / Dension / Clutch / LSD. |
Watch out for that clutch hanging up in 2-3 shift. Broke my trans twice

Erp clutch doesn't release on disengagement between shifts

Sounds great, thinking about a pccb conversion myself, did you go with the porsche kit or just source calipers and rotors? (also have the lwfw LSD combo and love it) |

Hi There, just wondering, how do you like the driveability of the car with the ERP clutch? I was just offered one very inexpensively, and wondering how much it would change the car on the street (where it rides mostly)

I have been looking to do the PCCB conversion. Came across this post some individual selling a kit $4800.00. Seems like a scam to me. He wanted me to wire transfer the funds. I thought it was to cheap so I started looking and bingo! Sure enough he is trying to sell a set via fake pictures taken from the internet. Got to be careful out there. Following up on this, it turns out the clutch I had installed is not an "ERP" version. Triple carbon made by RPS, but a different design. Extremely happy with it so far.

Let me rephrase...I believe the clutch I have is a modified design to what RPS produced in the past. I am certainly not an expert on the subject, and frankly hope never to be one :).
|
I hope so as well. I had each version of the 9" clutch and all had same issues. Never tried the 8" version but a friend has it and it had issues as well.

They say the Carrera GT clutch (ceramic) is a handful. How does carbon compare to stock? |
