2009 is the last year the 911 Turbo had the manual transmission option. It is also the last year of the Mezger engine, with the GT1 race-derived block with Nikasil liners allowing it to be rebuilt indefinitely. It is also the first year of the modern infotainment system. I know these facts because that happens to be the exact 911 Turbo I was lucky enough to purchase new with every single desirable factory option in 2009, and the only 911 Turbo I have ever owned or driven, and drive it I did, averaging 20,000 miles a year for the first 3 years. Glorious!!!

2013 was the last year a turbo had a manual. 2009 was the last of the Mezger TT engines.

The .2s could also be optioned with manual transmissions, it's just very few people went for it because PDK was the new hotness.

You know, we keep saying this (and I have thought it), but it really isn't that true. Roughly 1 in 3 997.2s in North America had manuals according to the very nice link posted by 4ocious in another thread: 488 manuals between 2010 and 2013 vs 1000 PDKs.

Yeah no one ever wants tiptronic but once pdk came along everyone started abandoning the manual...it was VERY rare to see a 997 turbo the first few years not in a manual

Maybe those 488 examples will at some point in time be viewed in the same light as the last batch of 964 turbos that had the 3.6L M64 block (later used in the 993TT)... the only difference is you could've gotten a 993TT in a manual where as the 991TT/S you cant. Maybe instead of 997.2TT we should start saying 997TT 3.8L... I know I'm about to get jumped by the Mezger gang

CHECK OUT THIS SITE, it appears to be very correct and you can search ANY configuration/options.

According to this my car (09', 6spd, Coupe, White, Red Int.) is one of 3 for 2009 with a USA destination and 1 of 5 if you include Canada...

Enjoy, TGIF everyone!

The only difference between a 997.1 and a 997.2 is the 997.1 places money on the table for us mechanics. Have yet to service any 997.2 turbos. None!

2008 Manual Coupe Carrara White Black Interior PCCB Sport Buckets and Limited Slip = 1 of 1. (pulled up my build sheet exactly)
Eliminating options results in a list of 50 cars. (from PORS9)
