997 4 GTS vs TT

I saw a nice manual 997.2 GTS 4 and I wonder if anyone had experience in owning one and a TT as comparison.

I miss my 997.2 C4S and was thinking of adding it.

Anyone can give their owners opinion?

If you want a very good comparison check out Motorweeks review of a 2017 GTS Season 37 October 2017 I think. I tried to copy the link but it wouldn't work.

I dont like the 991 body. Too much fat. Ive owned a 991 GT3.

I was looking for a 997 GTS as well but found a Turbo that fit the bill at basically the same price. TBH I really wanted the GTS but i'll gladly take a Turbo lol

Nice writeup. My understanding is for the 997 lineup, collectibility is on the side of a turbo and gt3.
I was hoping it would include the GTS, its a beauty.

But i guess its not surprising, porsche made it an inbetween a carrera S and a GT3.

I still want one, especially those wide body 4. But it may have to wait till I decide to trade one of my cars.

If you owned a 997.2 C4S, I suspect the 4GTS would be very similar to that other than the powerkit which is probably not really that much of a notable difference in the real world. I would also prefer the standard wheels and leather interior of the C4S over the GTS versions. Or at least the wheels without the silver stripe as I'm just not a fan of that. I agree on the 991 platform. Before my 997.2 Turbo, I owned both a 991.1 4GTS and 991.1 TTS which were both great but I never realized what I was missing in the 997 platform until I drove one. Just more my style and driving characteristics. If I were to do it again with the GTS, I would have gotten the 2 vs. the 4 as you still get the wider hips. If you prefer AWD and the wider hips, I think the C4 is the better choice since it gives you more color and wheel choices.

Good article to "pump up the volume" if you have a GT3 or Turbo, however, it is just one man's opinion......

GTS included in total 911 article.
i think it would complement turbo nicely.

The only thing thats holding me from buying it is that I have an RS already too.

So where exactly will it (GTS) fit?

I dont think its better than a turbo either.

This article did not even include the manual 997 turbo. Theyve lost their touch!🧐

IMO the 997TT 6MT was not included because Porsche sold quite a few of them and the jury is still out on their rarity and future collectability. Also, wasn't the 2012 GTS the last Mezger powered Porsche? I recall reading that somewhere.

I believe its a DFI 9A1, not a mezger.

GTS 100% DFI. Wish I could've kept the GTS as a stablemate for the TT.
