Default Tire Recommendations?

I know it's been discussed before but hey it's 2018 and tires change so I'm going to be needing a set of tires soon, here is how I am using them:

-no track
-no winter weather driving although if I catch a decent winter day I'd like to take it out
-dont want to have to swap wheels in the winter and/or remove tires and store inside
-car is stored in unheated garage in the winter(I don't think the temps ever get below freezing)
--drive about 2500mi/yr
--using stock tire sizes but more agressive offsets
-car will be lowered on coilovers when the tires go on, not too low shooting for around an inch

Seems like various Michelin pilot X tires are preferred, although there are some hankooks that for the price are intriguing.

Thoughts?

Super Sports. Whatever you do, don't get PZero.

Any issues with these being on the car in 40 degree temps? I've read about some issues with the tire compounds cracking if subjected to temps this low.

So even if I don't drive it, just subjecting them to 40 degree temps could damage them?

I purchased the new Pilot sport 4S, my dealer said that they are not "N" rated. He said your tires were made in USA no N rating for you. Can you believe this crap? Did some research and it's BS. Same tires minus the N rating.

I only very recently got them, CONTINENTAL EXTREMECONTACT SPORT. A local high-end wheel dealer strongly recommended them. I had never had a very good opinion of Conti's, but he said forget that, this new tire is not only super high qualilty, but also nicely priced. Check out the reviews on Tire Rack.

I second this. I have the 4S on my car and they are a great tire for what you are looking for.

I was researching and it seems like the evolution of these tires was PS2, PSS, and now PS4.

Planning on PS4 or pss depending on the price of them

I agree with this - I have them on my car right now and had their predecessor (ExtremeContact DW and DWS) on my C6 corvettes. Of course, they're not a track tire but for around town, they are quiet, have adequate grip, and are comparatively long-lived. I DD my 7.1 and often drive in temps below 40 degrees. These are very good in the wet. Great price and decent performance.

Debating between Michelin PILOT 4S and CONTI Extreme Contact Sport. $1279/$964 respectively from tire rack.

Anything will be better than the Pzeros....

I went with the 4S, haven't put them on yet, hopefully they will go on in the next week or so. Trying to get on my shops schedule but everyone is going full race car and monopolizing the shop!

I’ve ran Cup2 and 4S on my GT350R and really appreciated the road manners of the 4S tires, that said I also ran them at Sonoma and The Ridge. Loved the SS in my GT3 and the 4S are even better. Just picked up a set of Cup2 for the TT and tracked at THill- great to have the options out there!
