Front hood closes too low

Front hood closes too low
The front hood (frunk, bonnet?) on my 2008 has to be pressed pretty hard to latch, and when it is latched it sits about 4.5 mm below the level of the front bumper. I know it was backed into in its past life and I'm thinking it was just not adjusted correctly at the time of repair. Can someone tell me how to adjust that latch height? Thanks everyone.

I read some time ago that the hood is lower on purpose on these cars, but I’m not near mine to measure it at the moment.
