Whos getting 17psi boost on their turbo S?
I have a 2012 Turbo S and configured the screen at the bottom of the tach to show boost pressure.
I routinely get about 14psi indicated but after reading a section of the owners manual this morning it looks like 17psi is possible. From page 133 of my owners manual it says:
"The engine boost pressure is regulated by the engine control unit. The maximum boost pressure is approx. 14 psi (1 bar), and approx. 17 psi (1.2 bar) in the 911 Turbo S. It is, however, greatly dependent on the ambient air pressure and the fuel grade"
Im living in Seattle near sea level with 91-92 octane gas. Who is getting 17psi with this car and how are you doing it with a stock configuration? Do I need to run to redline to get it or be in sport plus?
Thanks

I don’t have an S but I do have sport chrono with over boost and it does take some load to get it into full boost. Basically, you need to be under heavy load where the gears aren’t doing much of the work. Try going full throttle at low rpms in 5th gear for example and you should be able to get it to 17 psi.
