Smile 997TT gets a new stablemate

The mistress was getting a bit lonely, so I had to add to the stable to keep her company. The new girl was in storage for a bit but she is now her safely tucked into her new home. Another check off the bucket list

Real deal- in the Shelby registry with 6 owners - I'm the 7th. 60K original miles, 4 speed, one of 255 in Sapphire blue. This one's a keeper.

As the former owner of three Shelby's (67 and 69 GT500's and a 67 427 SC Cobra) that I wish I had never sold you did well and I'm sure you're joying it already. It appears to have a nice restoration. Does it still have the OEM motor and transmission?

Whoa... I had to google it to find out what it REALLY is all about.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelby_Mustang

The Shelby Mustang is a high performance variant of the Ford Mustang which was built by Shelby from 1965 to 1968, and from 1969 to 1970 by Ford. Following the introduction of the fifth generation Ford Mustang in 2005, the Shelby nameplate was revived as a new high-performance model, this time designed and built by Ford.

What made you get this particular car? It's the antithesis of your Porsche. You'll get MANY MORE comments and visual interest of course driving this old car than the newer one!

Congrats! Amazing piece of Americana.

Just in case you inspired any other Rennlisters to pick up a similar Shelby stablemate (although raced & modified)
