I wonder if this will be a catalyst for more noise around the issue being directed at Porsche. This should get attention - it’s nonsense that they never took responsibility for not.

Hence my question about cameras, and should have added, speed sensors around the track. Hook up to electronic billboards, and got it covered.

Most tracks, even in the US don't have sophisticated cameras and speed sensors, most rely on flaggers.
the ring is a very old track and set in its ways in many respects, like no helmets for ex. I believe the corner workersleft early that day, in which case you're on your own.

The poor guy with the helmet cam stops to help and his car gets smashed? Man this was terrible for all involved. Looks like an average day on IH-10 here.

Brutal to watch, short of the smart thinking guy (whose car got wrecked anyway) waving a yellow flag 1/8 further up, I'm not sure how the ensuing damage could have been avoided.

Maybe if everyone had kept driving, hazard lights on, low speed, instead of stopping?

he could have moved a little faster to try to get to the turn and flag people... just saying.

that's a massive pileup, looks like the one BMW got smashed to bits. Hope everyone was ok. That's a very expensive crash.
