'12 TTS Question
#31
Having more manual cars right now and wanting to involve my family to the Porsche Club, I am seriously thinking trading my 07 TT MT with 24k miles for a very low miles TTS. That way I can drive my GTS or RS to the event with my wife driving the TTS. I got a very good number on my TT and its almost a done deal.
Almost because I am still not sure I am doing the right thing. But I think its time my wife gets her first Pcar. Every month it seems I am getting a higher offer from a dealer, thats how bullish the 997.1 TT is right now.
What do you guys think?

When I purchased my TTS last year, I passed on two others purely based on mileage. (29K and 34K respectively) I personally would pass on a high mile car. I couldn’t put a value on it as low mileage was one of my top requirements...
But if the price is right and you are ok with 30K plus miles, go for it...
I "Went for it".
2012 997TTS, GT Silver/Blk,, 31K miles., Europipe Exhaust, Headsup display Passport detector, otherwise stock.

Well given how little I'll have a chance to drive it, the mileage will hopefully come back to my favor over time. Either way, I can see both sides.

So, 2012 GT Silver TTS, Black full leather sport adaptive, heated seats, rear park assist, crest on head rest and logo on console lid, Sirius XM, Interior carbon package, Brand New tires all around (Mich,) extremely recent intermediate service (oil/filter/ brake flush, etc) with 30,500 MILES. 2 owners & most records all from a Porsche dealer.
$169,745 MSRP
Selling price range for individual sale???
This going to be a “hold it’s value” car, as long as miles are kept in check?

Bumping this to see what folks think about the 997.2 TTS values now. Seems like they are holding pretty well since this threads start.
I still super happy with my purchase. I've actually driven it over 3500 miles since buying it back in late April of this year. I absolutely love this thing!!
I'm still hoping that for what all these cars offer in performance and options, that $75k - $85k would be bottom for these, even with 40-50k miles.
Thoughts?

This iteration reminds me of the 3.3 964 turbos years. Until the 964 3.6 came out. The 3.6 964 turbo is worth more today than a 993 turbo. Specifically with the wheels it came with. The 997.2 Turbo S is a transitional model. The best ideas from future 991 incorporated into an old existing platform. Will the 997.1 6 speed hold with its Mezger? Time will tell. At the moment the 997.2 Turbo S with the Spyder wheels and PCCB's is the cats meow and undisputed king of value. Drop Mike, MIC whatever but it's dropped.
