Does this price look fishy?
Hello,
This is my first post on this forum and thank you for the wealth of knowledge available. I'm looking into entering into the 911 Turbo market and spotted this gem.
2009 turbo awd, 6M, Black on tan with 54K miles. Very clean, clean title, no accidents, two owners for $38,000.
Now I've been shopping around quite a bit and that price just shocked me. It's considerably less than anything else I've seen. It's being sold at a reputable dealer on the East Coast. Myself being from the opposite side of the US makes it difficult to test drive, but the dealer assures me everything is fine. Is this one of those too good to be true things? Or does this sort of thing exist from time to time in the Porsche world?
I was looking at 996's, but at this price I'd rather be in a 997; Turbo nonetheless.
Thanks.

With those details it's very clearly a scam.

SCAM!!!
I have run across a few. google the address and its a micro used dealer in the middle of nowhere Kansas.... I went as far as calling the Dollar General across the street from one scam in BFE and the manager revealed I was the 3rd dude to ask him to walk across the street and see if there is a 911 inside!
2009 with those stats is 2x that, anybody selling one knows that.

I'm not sure why this is a question.
"Hey guys, can you tell me if this is a scam, or is this price legit? 2016 Lamborghini Aventador, 1243 miles, clean title, one owner, owner says he just used it as his wife's grocery getter, but needs something with 2 doors that don't open vertically. $124k"
Point being, these cars have never been as low as $38k, especially not a 2009 w/ relatively low miles and manual transmission. You might find a tiptronic with that mileage in the high $50k's. Unless you are completely new to these cars and this is the first one you've looked at and just don't understand the market value, asking if this is a legit price is nothing but a troll post.

follow up
In case you guys were wondering. Here you go. I was born at night, but not last night. I know what Porsche's are worth, and what the market is, and what is required capital wise to actually keep these cars in running condition. I was merely asking the question to see if this is something that comes available every so often. Called the dealer again this morning, and obviously, too good to be true. Misprint. In my opinion, it was still worth the research. Ive come across crazier things. Thanks for your time guys. The search continues......

The lowest fluke 6mt 997TT coupe I've seen was one on eBay that didn't have super high miles but had a couple [allegedly poorly repaired] accidents and I think someone said the interior was ratty, sold for around $45k, which still seemed low. Otherwise you aren't realistically going to find one for less than $53k or so.

Three Wheelin'
I've purchased several cars from them in the past. They were once a good BMW dealer but their customer service, sales, and repair departments has since gone to H-LL and I won't go back. They have a bad reputation in northern VA. Their photos also show the exterior needs work and the car looks it's age. Also notice the asking is now $69K which means they finally figured out what they had. Still a bit under priced for an 09 6MT coupe but again it's a drivers car.
