Default DME report on 997.1-help

Hello, all.
I have searched and searched...and wondering what you guys think about this DME report, i am searching for 997.1 6speed.

so, 360ignition~1sec, right?
according to mileage/operating hours(22000miles/678hrs) = 32mile/hr, is it fair that most of the miles are local and highway miles?
Will appreciate help from expert.
Thank you.

The ignitions = time calculation isn't linear since the different ranges are at different RPM rates.

It looks like a PO had a bad missed shift 250 hours ago. Given that significant amount of elapsed time, though, it's pretty unlikely to cause any future issues besides maybe impacting resale. 32mph is right in the middle of "average," I think, so probably a mix of highway and city miles.

thanks for the quick reply. now i think i can understand better. probably range 4, 5, 6 all happened at the same time, fair assumption that it could be missed shift?

Yeah, the last time it hit 4-6 was at the same 413.4 hours (the car having 678 hours now). You can even do the math using the average MPH to get an idea of how many miles ago that was. Pretty much the only way to get ranges 4-6 are by horrendously botching a shift. Ranges 1-2 and potentially 3 aren't hard to hit just by redlining the car, particularly if it has a tuned DME that raises the rev limiter.

Thank you again Skwerl for the quick reply. so, we can't really tell 'how many times' the car hit range 4-5-6 other than actual time(seconds) that rpm was in the range 4-5-6, right?

It only records the age of the car the last time it hit a range, and the total accumulation of ignitions in that range over the engine's life. So, there isn't a precise way to know that it went into range one 20 times briefly or once for a long time, though you can make inferences based on the hours and other ranges' numbers. I would say that the ranges 4-6 are not huge numbers so it was probably one singular missed shift.

That miss shift happened about 8,000 miles ago. Looks like it survived. Use the report to negotiate a thin margin on the deal and buy at a good price.
