Very nice looking car with a pretty decent build spec; don't think it will last long before somebody buys it! Being CPO might take some of the sting out of the pricing (very similar in price to 997.2TTs that I was looking at last year before I bought mine so asking price has held steady).

Based on my understanding, CPO will not allow an accident or over rev. Repaint is not a criteria. In fact, if you have some scratches or dents, they are required to recondition the paint to as new as possible.

Repaint should be easy enough to figure out if you get a PPI and have someone with a paint depth gauge check it. If it was the front or rear bumpers, I wouldn't be concerned. Looks like a good car for the money though. All the right options.

Still confused, why all the talk about repaint? Just looked like a car for sale to me, so wondering if I missed something (BTW - not mine - I'm a 2009 - just curious b/c lots of cars go up for sale and we don't have multiple posts talking about resprays, etc.).

I agree, absolutely no clue why the talk about the repaint. Just was giving some insight to those that are concerned about it, that it should be easy to figure out.

Which is why I am trying to figure out who owned it last and what they traded it in for.

I have seen two 997.2 6MTs sold to dealerships from private parties.

One was in decent condition 44k miles, sold to dealer for 74k and dealer has it listed for 87,500

Other was sold for 80k, dealer sold it for 90k I believe.
