Default CEL Fault code: 8007 Gateway incorrect coding...has anybody had this before?

Sorry, I haven't posted here in quite awhile!

Has anybody else had this? Searching here I found one thread that simply states that this fault code can be ignored as it has nothing to do with engine performance, etc. BUT how do you get rid of it? I deleted the CEL code with my Durametric but it re-appeared after driving for an hour or so.

Thanks!

Alex

Codes like this are really only resolved with a PIWIS tester. I have a PIWIS, and you have to go through the guided fault finding and a big rigamarole to address codes like this.

The only gateway error I have relates to the Dension 500S BT I have installed. It appears as 8007.

It's what I figured...thanks for the info! I'll have my Indi shop take a look at it down the road....no hurry I'm told.

No symptoms? All the electronics work as they should?

^^^I haven't checked all electronics as I don't usually drive with the navigation or audio functions on so I'll check that tonight but all the nanny stuff seems to be ok.
