Default Photos: New to me 997 GT2

Hello! New member here, but long time lurker.

A few months ago, after lots of searching, I picked up my dream car – a 2008 997 GT2. This particular one was ordered with a lot of options boxes checked.

The weather cleared a couple of weeks ago here in NY and I was finally able to get it out for some photos. Hope you enjoy:

Congrats man!! I am a 2nd time GT2 owner myself. Searched long and hard for a white one. Your interior is stunning. I'm working on finding the buckets and adding the GT2 RS interior pieces to mine. Enjoy it!!

Beautiful car. Congrats!

I noticed blue inner rings on the front rotors. Aftermarket?

Also see what look to be the OE MPSC1's. Only tire I ever felt was out to kill me in the wet. I think they make the MPSC2's in your sizes. When the time comes, it's a VAST improvement in both grip and street use.

GT2 is a truly special Porsche. Drive the hell out of it!

Congrats and nice find! Be careful during the learning curve - things can move very quickly in that car. You'll have no regrets.

Great spec and great shots!

Can I ask what program you are using for post processing?

Thank you all for the kind words!

Diving in head-first as this is my first Porsche. Excited to spend more time on here.

I'd been watching the market for about 6 months and shopped seriously for about 2 on top of that.

Good eye. Not aftermarket, just some careless photo editing on my part

Indeed they are. I have a set of wheels and MPSC2s ready to go on before the next drive. Not only are these tires nearly expired, all 4 TPMS sensors are dead. Overdue!

Thanks! Seriously considered the 996 before this car, but was able to step up to this after selling my M Coupe.

Initial impressions: Absolutely phenomenal. In terms of power, it leaves nothing to be desired. Still need more seat time before I can weigh in on handling, but so far I'm all smiles in or out of the car. I could tell right away on my first drive that things could go wrong very very quickly, so I'm just taking my time with it.

Sure, just using Lightroom with VSCO for the first pass and then moving to Photoshop for final cleanup.
