Default sunroof motor >>

My sunroof just started acting up. It will not retract without a lot of button trickery. I've read that the most likely culprit is the motor itself that has a memory board attached (that is most likely fried).

I pulled the motor out this morning and want to know whether I have to stick with the current part number for my 2007 (997 624 211 00) or if I can get away with a later part number for the 2009-2011 (997 624 213 00)? The reason I ask is that there are an abundance of the newer model motors on ebay.

Here's what looks like the same part, slightly different number:

Thanks in advance!
