997 GT3 and C2 - Same chassis?

I know both are narrow body, but are they essentially the same chassis? I read somewhere the GT3 has a slightly different chassis which is structurally more rigid and has different mounting points for the engine/transmission. Would anyone mind clarifying please? Thanks.

I believe the GT3 uses the C4 chassis which is stiffer than C2. That is definitely the case with the 996 GT3.

What I know is that in the US the C2 and 997-1 GT3 both come with a standard sunroof. The GT3 also has rear seat and seatbelt mounting points. It makes me think the shell might be the same. The 997-2 GT3 deletes both of those. ROW cars also don't have them.

The RS is a wide body both 997-1 and -2, based on the C4 platform (also wide body) but with no sunroof, or rear seat and seat belt mounting points.

All 997 GT3 and RS cars use the C4 chassis. The non RS cars use the narrow C2 fenders while the RS cars use the wide body C4 fenders. I read that that the drive shaft tube and front diff mounting structure create a more rigid chassis. I also read that it allowed for a larger fuel tank, but my tank is small as hell so I'm not sure how they figure that.
