Over revs don't matter to me as long as the motor has run enough miles after. My .02 the gt2 is built for hard driving. I just want a honest car I can drive that has not been wrecked, don't even care if it has some paint work.

I remember when the 996s were low 70's with no miles and the 997s were in the low 100K range,if I remember correctly. And this was 6-7 years ago. I'm a dumbas* ,should've bought one!

Bottom line: a) 997 GT2's are amazing cars, b) fastest production car P ever built at the time and even now still in the top group, c) probably less than 180 left in U.S., d) Mezger Turbo, e) stick and f) GT. They have already jumped about $50k in the last 3 years. 10 years from now, even the "rougher" ones will be hard on the wallet while the nice examples will be unobtainium I suspect. They'll be more sought after than the 97 Turbo S for sure - and look where those have gone (even the rougher examples). So, buy one and enjoy the heck out of it for the next 5-10 years - and probably still come out ahead :-)
