Default Porsches at the Pebble Beach auctions

As the catalogs are just coming online and being sent out, an initial look across Gooding, Bonhams, RM, Rick Cole, Mecum and Russo and Steele shows that Porsche will be strongly represented this season. I thought it would be interesting to have a thread on RL where any and all of those for sale can be discussed and followed.

I'm sure you're attending?

I have spoken with Frank M. about the tons of cars they are representing. I'm particularly interested in about a dozen of the examples.

Top 12 Pebble Porsches should be a poll. where should we put it?

Yes, I will be out there. A broad and interesting assortment, which is why I thought a discussion thread leading up to the sales would be entertaining. I don't know how to create the poll that you speak of, but think it's a great idea. You set it up and I'm happy to get it rolling with a few votes!

Ok. I just recorded all of them. Will compile and we can vote.

I feel like the 991 board is most active

looks like Mecum has some nice Porsches lined up.
will be interesting to see what the 997.1 and 997.2 GT3 RS's end up getting.
2007 GT3 RS in Orange, 2008 GT3 RS in Green
2011 GT3 RS 4.0 in white with 426 miles!

I quite like the 1973 911T in Gulf Blue

and would love to see this Aston Martin Vulcan in person too!

Have a few meetings in morning with guys - then going to have lunch and hammer back up the coast before traffic sits in

I will be there on Friday. I will be driving down from the East Bay in case anyone wants to caravan. I plan to hit Werks Reunion first then Legends of the Autobahn (haven't visited that one before) and then hang out at Exotics on Cannery Row. I found that by the time that winds down traffic back up the coast is manageable.

Given that BMW will be celebrating their centennial, you have picked a good year to go.

Unfortunately my car won't be ready in time, but I have a number of friends who will be bringing out some tasty cars. It should be a great event.

I'll be at Werks and several other events on Friday. And Rolex on Saturday. Look for my car in the Griots Garage booth both at werks and Rolex.
