It's been too quiet, thus an unrequited debate...

This could have been posted in almost any RL forum, I just like this one the best...

This is just for fun, please nobody beating each other's opinions up (there is more than enough of that on any Classified post here these days)...

THE GROUND RULES:

1. You do not have to pay for the car in question (assume it is gifted to you, all applicable income taxes paid and you cannot resell it, so market value is irrelevant);

2. You also do not have to pay for maintenance (some positive twist of fate) and if you choose an older model, it has been properly maintained since day one;

3. The car in question will have delivery mileage (but has to remain that way), be 100% original and as new;

4. Any road car Porsche has ever built (minimum of exactly one built and sold to a member of the public as a fully road-legal automobile counts) is eligible, so only excluding pure race cars.

And the question is this: meeting all of the above criteria, which Porsche (exact year, model, derivation, exterior and interior color) would you enjoy seeing parked in your garage each day and take the most pleasure in simply knowing that you owned it?

Let it begin...

off the top of my head without putting much thought

1997 silver GT1.

I will sleep on it, and maybe have a better answer tomorrow

I'm new to porsche world but I would choose the .1 RS in white with black wheels and black decals, yellow pccb, deviated stitching + seat belts yellow, full CF interior , gt2 bucket seats :D

I have a family friend with a 000042km factory-only mileage(never driven/plated/etc outside of factory) '89 911 Speedster if that's of interest...
That said, I have no ability to avoid driving any car, but if I could, a C-GT (or a Dauer or D.B., etc. 962 if that counts) might just be it for me... 3/6 GT1 is right up there too

If you could pick one super model and leave her in your bed not to touch only to look at who would it be? Sorry boys that don't work for me

I'd take a Honda Civic that I could do stage rally with over a CGT or some $1,000,000,000 Ferrari prototype that sat in my garage all day long without a moments hesitation

Either a GT1 or 993 GT2 Clubsport...would not say no to a 73RS either.

Guards Red 993 GT2 or a white early GT1 with the round headlights.

Carrera GT for sure

RSA_27149 03-29-2016 07:55 AM

964 speedster turbo look (the wide body). My guess is that it is more beautiful to look at than it is to drive. Based on your criteria it's better off since I won't be able to drive it anyway.

RSA_27149 03-29-2016 09:12 AM

^^^ to add...if I can drive the car just a little bit, then it will have to be the 964 3.8 RS.

zirrah 03-29-2016 09:14 AM

RS 4.0 in Mexico Blue.

MODZ61 can have this CGT DownUnder.

I'll take the same specd' car for N.America.

As I read the challenge I immediately decided on the CGT when the criteria was to keep it stock. I can't think of what I'd do to a CGT to make it better.
