Default R & P 4,00 993 to 996/7 gt3

Hi,

I'd like to change my oem r&p for r&p cup 4.00. I can buy 4,00 of 993 from my friend. The question is: does it fit to 996/997 gt3? Is it the same gearbox? The parts is bought from fvd.

thanks for response.

I think they are the same fitment. What matters is if the R&P is rifle drilled for forced lubrication. If not then you can not use it. Infact I don't think the non drilled shafts even fit with the tail housing in a 996/7-3 trans

I know the input shafts and such are interchangeable other than the difference with the riffle drilled for lubrication and the differential machining for shaft clearance on pre 97

If you find it does not work you could go for the 7.2RS 3.89 R&P. You can get it from your local dealer and it works great, love it.

I think the part number you listed is the 993 NON DRILLED pinion, so I do not think that would actually work in a gt3 as they are all rifle drilled.

950 302 911 24, i believe this is the std one
950 302 911 80 I believe this is the rifle drilled one for GT3's

the #24 will only work in non pressure lubrication trans
the #80 will work in both

thanks a lot.

If someone is interested in buying to 993, let me know.

3,89, yes I agree and plus 6th longer gear from mkII rs 97/92, nr 9973029590, for travelling.
I had 4,0 cup in 6gt3 but for highway it was a little bit annoying. 4000rmp 130-140 km/h. Bigger consumption, and noisy. I didi that time lots of tracks (40k km) than it was ok but this 7 is also for weekend jurney
