the bag is out of the cat here (lol). Very nice gesture to post up. So, I’m confident it’s not going to get 99k.

Thanks for sharing the PPI. I personally would not buy it at $100k. I'd likely find another one. It's going to be around $10k depending on where you're located to sort everything. But that's a guess, it could be more, could be less. Just RMS and clutch is going to be $5k I'd guess. Like I said, if you're comfortable with it though, nothing wrong with going for it and sorting it over time.

If you pass on it, I'd be surprised if it doesn't sell quickly for $99K or thereabouts and the buyer immediately tries to flip it only to discover the car needs $15K worth of work. Nice of you to share the PPI. I would pass personally, as this car looks to have been neglected. When you factor in the mileage, and cost of repairs needed to get it all sorted, you can probably do better.

I actually think that for $99k it will sell. A lot of the stuff found by the PPI are wear and tear or minor things that could be easily fixed. The clutch is a wearable part that you will improve by installing a 4.0 LWFW and clutch kit. While you are there, you can replace the RMS, which is something normal for these cars. You can also pin the coolant pipes if you desire. About the paint work? I don't have an issue with it if it was properly fixed. At this price, this is a great car to enjoy and put miles on it. Not many of these around and when they come available, the price is a lot higher. Good luck....

So, guards, the red one,WP0AC29987S792745, popped up on my Facebook market place.
Is that the one that is radio silent?
I did a quick Google and this thread was the only thing that popped up (well, that and the TREG listing on FB)

I used to believe this one. But, coming from the vintage watch world found out the hard way that even some of the highly regarded “best” sellers sneak in bad watches, or sometimes fakes, when they think they can get away with it.
I think the X-Files slogan, Trust No One, is more apropos for these kinds of things. You really need to know your shiznit or have someone you trust that knows their shiznit to help out.

If the clutch slips under hard acceleration that's not because you don't know how to drive a manual. Plus I suspect the guys at Barnaba know how to drive one. The fact that the seller even said that is strange. It's had two accidents, one of them somewhat severe. The airbag light being on is weird. He should have tried to have it coded out. I'm a believer in buying the best example you can. If you spend another $20k up-front it's like money in the bank that you will get back later. Even if it's $30k. A nicer car will be easier to sell later especially when the economy takes a dump....which it must at some point.
I'm not saying don't buy it. I will say don't buy it just because somebody else will. It needs to be right for YOU. I'm admittedly pickier than most.
