So true, my car history is all 90’s / early 2000’s M3 / M5 until I bought a brand new M3, and realized new cars suck, and then sold it in favor of the 997

Their 997.2 RS has been on the market since June of 2023. I believe the fenders have been resprayed and possibly the hood and front bumper. They sent me all the info on that car when I was originally interested in it. Based on how long its been there I am sure there is a good amount of negotiations.

A friend of mine did some digging and found that they likely purchased the car for $198,000.

This 750-mile .1 GT3 is for sale on the PCA Mart. Failed to sell on BaT in May of last year for $185k. It’s worth more than that nowadays, but probably not the sellers ask of $269k.

BaT listing from 2023:

Just bought mine and I too am 37 haha. must be something about being old enough to have some $$ saved but young enough to feel like we need an uncomfortable, epic sports car

thats a killer price for that mileage and spec… salvage title then?

also an interesting note… I was looking through Merits collection and noticed they have two of the same grey RS one with PCCB similar mileage and they put a 10% premium on it.

Assume we reverse time a few years would everyone have paid 200k vs 180k to have PCCB?

Technically it would not be a salvage title anymore as it appears to have been issued a rebuilt one. Flood cars especially salt water are one of the worst cases for cars. There can be lots of corrosion beneath the surface.

PCCB I think would add 10% maybe more for top tier examples. Personally wouldn’t buy one without it unless it’s a car that gets tracked frequently.

I assume race disks/pads kick off more dust than OEM but I get thoroughly annoyed with the dust on the silver wheels and white car. When I got the first 997 they were prob only 5-10k premium and could go either way, but now I'm getting lazy about my wash frequency.

Come on are we really considering a flood loss car for 260k to be a killer price for an RS even in this crazy market? Wasn't that car with miles on PCAR that didn't hit reserve and was in the deal tank under 300 and without this baggage? What did that one end up going for?

I thought the nuance of that sentence was obvious sorry, thats a killer price for that spec if it wasn't a salvage title, which was unclear to me

Think this is the one you are referring to? Sold for $297k in the deal tank.
