Default Key got stuck in the ignition. 997 GT2

My key got stuck in the ignition and turning left or right gives me no response. I CANNOT remove the key from the ignition !

My GT2 battery is empty becuse it is been parked for a while with out driving.

So, what exactly should I do to fix that issue?
Anyone had that issue before?

Don't try to jam it out. The key lock is electronic. The car requires some battery power to release the key. There is a procedure in the manual on how to free the hood and key when the battery is flat.

You can give the car enough juice to pop the hood/release the key from ignition by opening the fuse box and there is a terminal you can pull out and attach the positive end of a jumper cable to.

This never happens to gt3s. Only gt2s. Something with the turbo...

Look at the manual, it gives you instructions how to pop the hood open so that you can access the battery.

I have this in my car, it is very useful and can jump start a dead battery: https://www.cobra.com/products/porta...mpack-cpp-8000

I'm not sure a trickle charger can recharge a completely dead battery.

It has happened to a 997.2 GT3RS. I was able to get the hood opened by applying power to the jumper in the fuse box and then get the system back operating.

As has been said, pop the bonnet open with the fuse box connector and then charge battery. The key will release instantly.

Pretty sure it applies to gt3's, only difference is everything happens far quicker in a GT2.

There is a small cover around the key lock. Remove the cover and the use a pen or something similar and you can remove the key. Even if the battery is dead.
