BBi Autosport StreetCup Roll Bar

Next, we installed our BBi 991 GT3 Street Cup Roll Bar to properly mount harnesses and increase protection. Thr roll bar features a 2 piece design and 4130 chrome moly steel tubing (1.5" x .120" main hoop & 1.5" x 0.95" rear hoops) for excellent strength to weight ratio. With our sensible approach, the 2 piece design allows the bar to be mounted to the front seat belt mounts and to the rear strut towers (stronger mounting points). For superior strength and rigidity, the bar utilizes "X" braces on both front and rear sections and each joint has been meticulously TIG welded by hand. Bolt-in installation is accomplished by using Inner Diameter Tube Clamps that are CNC turned and milled for a precise fit.

Features
  • 1.625" x 0.095" 4130 chrome moly steel tubing utilized for excellent strength to weight ratio
  • Made from 4130 chrome moly steel tubing (1.5" x .120" main hoop & 1.5" x 0.95" rear hoops) for excellent strength to weight ratio
  • TIG welded and utilizes "X" braces on both front and rear sections for superior strength and rigidity
  • Mounts to front seatbelt mounts and rear strut towers
  • Utilizes laser cut mounting plates & inner diameter tube clamps that are CNC turned and milled for a precise and seamless fit
  • Designed to work with stock or any aftermarket seats on the market
  • Can be used with stock seatbelts or 6 point harnesses for track use
  • Designed to work with wrap-around style harnesses while optional eyelet bolt provisions are available for clip-in harnesses
  • OEM fit & finish. The main hoop contours entire arch of the roof with an even 3/16 inch gap
  • Finished in satin black powder coat. Other optional colors available
  • Designed to fit all models of the 996 and 997 chassis including the Carrera, Turbo, GT2, and GT3

I love it.

What about the wing? Seems to be fusion of .1 and .2

Great work. Is the wider-track package an official offering from BBI? Would you please mind PM'ing me pricing details if so?

Will let Jerry respond, I've seen them do various flavors of this on quite a few cars. I have a wide track front end but with stock fenders, basically using cup lower control arm parts. Car doesn't push. Turns in so good.

Why don't you run wider, like 275 on a 10". You can fit 245 on a 9" stock.

Running a 10" wide rim up front with big tire requires modifying the radiator supports and moving them forward.

I run a 9.5 with 265 front tire on my car that has full 997.2 PMNA cup conversion.

If I read the specs correctly (tirerack.com for Michelin Cup 2), a 245/35/19 tire should fit perfect on 8,5", is that correct? Any reason 9" is better than 8,5" for this dimension?

I have 8,5" front rim, and is thinking about going 245 front and not stock 235 next time I get new tires.
